The Peter Grant Series by Ben Aaronovitch

The Peter Grant series (alternatively, the Rivers of London series) is a series of urban fantasy novels by English author Ben Aaronovitch. The series centres on the adventures of Peter Grant, a young officer in the Metropolitan Police; who, following an unexpected encounter with a ghost, is recruited into the small branch of the Met that deals with magic and the supernatural.  Described as “when Harry Potter met CSI”.

Six of Crows is set in a world loosely inspired by the Dutch Republic of the 17th century, and based on a magical system. The plot is told from the close third-person viewpoints of six different characters with the first novel in the series being called the Six of Crows.

The first novel in the series is called Storm Front, and follow the adventures of private investigator and wizard Harry Dresden, as he recounts investigations into supernatural disturbances in modern-day Chicago.

A Song of Ice and Fire is a series of epic fantasy novels by the American novelist and screenwriter George R. R. Martin, with the first novel in the seven book series being a Game of Thrones. The series takes place in the fictional world of Westeros.The point of view of each chapter in the story is a limited perspective of a range of characters. The series follows three main stories; a dynastic war among several families for control of Westeros, the rising threat of the supernatural Others in northernmost Westeros, and the ambition of Daenerys Targaryen, the deposed king’s exiled daughter, to assume the Iron Throne.

The Lightbringer Series by  Brent Weeks 

Written by American author Brent Weeks the Lightbringer series is a five novel series with the first being called the Black Prism. The story mainly follows the story of Gavin Guile, as he fights against an uprising by a self-proclaimed king. However the novels are told from the perspectives of other characters Gavin encounters throughout the series. In this fantastical world, characters use light to create colour magic, these people are referred to as colour wights. Each colour can be used for different purposes and require different levels of skill. However, most people can only use one colour. Unless your Gavin Guile, who happens to be the Prism, aka the one person who can control and use all of the colours.
